When Covid struck and the NHS said they were running low on oxygen, within a day we were producing oxygen via (1) electrolysis of water (using solar panels to create the electricity needed) and (2) a ‘wet’ chemical reaction. We did it because the idea of creating oxygen was simple and easy (at least in our minds) and it was possibly going to be a useful solution to a lack of oxygen supplies.
We work because we cannot help ourselves from creating solutions to problems that we see in everyday life. Scores of notebooks have been filled and experiments undertaken when we have identified solutions that others have not even come close to grasping and some people do not even see a problem that is right in front of them or perhaps they do not imagine that improvements can be made…
Our products are diverse because life is diverse and we are fortunate to have lived experienced lives.
All work is driven by the desire to produce simple, useful products that improve safety or make life more enjoyable or better. Some products make a large profit margin (see the emergency vhf antenna in the section: “What we do” 900% profit margin).
